Josh serves at Excellencies of Christ Ministries as the Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he helps develop and maintain all of the operations, systems, content, and procedures of the ministry. He has been serving in this capacity since January of 2025.

Meet the Spences…
Joshua and Melissa Spence met and married in Kansas City MO after attending the International House of Prayer University where they completed their undergrads. It was in Kansas City where the Spences and Hoods met and formed deep friendships that have lasted now for almost a decade. From Kansas City, the Spence family moved to Colorado Springs CO where Joshua finished his Master’s of Arts in Theological Studies online from Asbury Theological Seminary and both Joshua And Melissa stepped into pastoral roles at Boulder Street Church in the downtown of Colorado Springs. There, they served for two years as the Administrative Pastor and Worship Director teaching, preaching, leading worship, ministering in the prayer room, and serving the local community. Little did they know that the Lord was brining that season to a close as he opened the door for Joshua to jump on staff with Excellencies of Christ Ministries and for their family to move down to the treasure coast in Florida. There, they have gotten to be a part of the Open Door community where they serve as the Prayer Room Pastors, loving on and supporting the community that helps run Open Door’s prayer room.
Joshua and Melissa have been blessed with two daughters, Jubilee and Liberty.
